The lights were partially turned off in Almaty. For example, the lights were not turned off in Kazakhfilm, Aksai microdistricts and at the intersection of Zhandosov Street and Gagarin Avenue.
Traffic lights are out of order on the streets of Almaty, there are traffic jams.

Residents of Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan oblasts also said that the lights were turned off.

A spokesman for Almaty's mayor's office said the cause of the incident was being investigated.

According to media reports, power outages have also occurred in Kyrgyzstan.
