Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has signed a decree to change the country's international brand from Turkey to Turkiye, the national portal Adyrna reported, citing Anadolu.
The text of the decree states that the decision to change the country's brand reflects the rich culture and heritage and is intended to confirm the good intentions of the Turkish manufacturer as a reliable supplier of quality products.
Also, the term "Turkiye" will be used instead of the words "Turkey", "Turkei", "Turquie" in all official documents of the country, including any correspondence with foreign countries and organizations.
