On November 5, 2021, in Shymkent, the RPA "Union of Fathers" together with the city's executive committee with the support of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations Population Fund in Kazakhstan (UNFPA) held the VI Republican Forum of Fathers " akege karap ul oser ".
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pays special attention to strengthening the institution of the family. State family policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan is implemented in accordance with national strategic priorities and objectives. The concept of family and gender policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides for the strengthening of the institution of paternity in the country.
The Forum of Fathers was attended by deputies of Parliament, members of the National Commission, representatives of central state and local executive bodies, public figures, NGOs, as well as representatives of the parent community - delegates from the regions.
The governor of Shymkent Murat Aytenov, Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament L. Suleimen, Vice Minister of Information and Social Development A. Umarov, Executive Representative of the UN Fund in the field of Population in Kazakhstan (UNFPA) R. Sisemaliev.
Moderator of the Forum, Deputy of the Mazhilis of Parliament, member of the National Commission on Women Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President, Bakytbek Smagulov children have a sense of patriotism, spiritual and moral values. Fathers play a huge role in the formation of a strong family, in the upbringing and development of children, in the formation of a male model of behavior.
The Forum participants were presented with the results of the national sociological survey "The role of men, their degree of involvement in family life and raising children in Kazakhstan" conducted by the Center for the Study of Public Opinion. The study covered all 17 regions of Kazakhstan, where interviews were conducted with married men and women, single fathers raising children on their own, as well as experts from among representatives of public associations and state bodies.
There were active discussions on the most pressing topics: "Family and religion", "Increasing the role of the father in family education", "The influence of the media and bloggers on the formation of the institution of the family in Kazakhstan", "Sports education of children", "Development of fathers' advice at schools", and Special Fathers of Special Children, The Role of Books in Raising Children.
The speakers of the forum are representatives of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Kazakhstan, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, representatives of central and local executive bodies, NGOs, sports clubs, the scientific community, international organizations, media experts, bloggers covering the problems of families and children, as well as delegates from the regions, unanimously expressed their opinion on the need to strengthen the connection between the family and the school in this process and to strengthen joint work with the parental community,
The forum ended with the elaboration of a resolution with recommendations for central and local executive bodies to address topical issues of education of the younger generation.
At the end of the event, delegates from the regions were awarded letters of thanks on behalf of the National Commission for their personal example and contribution to the development of the institution of paternity.
