Delays are one thing; we’ve gotten used to them. Now, we just hope to arrive safely…
But their prices are truly sky-high! Beyond the ticket cost, you have to pay extra for seat selection, and if your hand luggage exceeds the 5 kg limit by even 500 grams, there’s another fee. Made a typo in your name while booking? That’ll cost you. Prefer to check in at the counter instead of online? Pay up! Want a sip of water onboard? That’s a fee too.
One thing I’ve noticed: every time they update their menu design, the prices increase as well. I’ve made it a habit to take pictures every time I fly. Let’s compare prices:
• In March, Snickers, M&M’s, and Twix were 800 KZT; now they’re 1,500 KZT. That’s a 90% increase!
• Tea, which was 500 KZT, is now 40% more expensive!
• “Rollton” mashed potatoes were 700 KZT, now 1,000 KZT. A 42% hike!
• “Naryn” noodles were 1,500 KZT in March, now 2,000 KZT in November. That’s a 33% increase!
• “Piko” juice was 600 KZT last month; now, in December, it’s 1,000 KZT—a 65% rise!
And the list goes on! Where is the Antimonopoly Committee? Are you even doing your job? How much longer will these prices keep soaring?
We’re tired of an airline that was initially launched as a “people’s company”!
