In Kazakhstan, in order to prevent the increase in the debt burden of citizens, it was proposed to introduce a rule prohibiting the granting of unsecured consumer loans if the loan payment delay exceeds 90 days, the national portal "Adyrna" reports. Majilis deputy Unzila Shapak stated this.

"In order to prevent the debt burden of citizens with problematic debts from increasing, a rule will be introduced prohibiting the granting of unsecured consumer loans if the loan payment delay exceeds 90 days. "Besides, for banks and microfinance organizations, it is prohibited to calculate interest after the delay of payment on all existing (unpaid) consumer loans exceeds 90 days," Shapak said.
