You may have heard the news that the authorities of Kazakhstan removed the Taliban from the list of banned organizations. "Taliban" movement is recognized as a terrorist organization banned in many countries of the world. It was the same with us until today. In March 2005, we added it to the list of banned organizations. Now we remove it from the list. The question immediately arises: "Why did the authorities of Kazakhstan make such a decision?" In general, the decision was made in accordance with the UN practice, but I think that there are several reasons that are important for our country.
