The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China issued a statement on the situation in Russia, the text of the statement:
"This is Russia's internal matter. As a friendly neighbor and a comprehensive strategic partner in the new era, China supports Russia in maintaining state stability and realizing development and prosperity."
