Kazakhstan has sent the helicopters and the rescuers to help Turkey. The official representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, Talgat Uali, informed, the national portal "Adyrna" reports referring to Tengrinews.kz.

On behalf of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan sent two Mi-8 AMT helicopters and an emergency team of 16 rescuers to the Republic of Turkey to assist in extinguishing forest fires.

"Kazakh helicopters took off today and arrived in the Turkish city of Mugla via the border of the three countries. First Vice Minister of Emergencies Ibrahim Kulshimbayev evacuated the task force at Nur-Sultan airport. Interaction of our rescuers with local authorities is coordinated by the Kazakh Embassy in Turkey," Uali said. .

Kazakhstan will also provide humanitarian assistance to restore forest cover in the burned areas. The planted forest symbolizes the friendship and brotherhood of the peoples of Kazakhstan and Turkey.
