Milad Karimi, a member of Kazakhstan’s national artistic gymnastics team, claimed victory at a stage of the World Cup held in Osijek, Croatia. This was reported on April 13 by the press service of the National Olympic Committee, according to Adyrna.
In the final of the horizontal bar event, our compatriot outperformed his rivals and secured the top spot. Karimi earned a score of 14.666 from the judges, marking his second medal at this World Cup stage — he had previously won bronze in the floor exercise.
In the final, second place went to Israeli athlete Alexander Myakinin (14.433), while China’s Chenyi Xie came in third (14.300).
It’s worth noting that the Kazakhstan team won three medals in total at the Osijek competition. In addition to Karimi’s achievements, Nariman Kurbanov also reached the podium, earning a bronze medal in the pommel horse event.
