On February 19, the presentation of the historical and educational book “Kazakhstan National Pantheon”, which tells the stories of 125 figures from Kazakh history, took place in Astana, Adyrna national portal reports, citing Qazaqstan.
The project was initiated by KazMunayGas National Company JSC, and the book was published in honor of the 125th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s oil industry, which was celebrated last year.
Darhan Kydyrali, a member of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, emphasized the significance of the book’s title.
“The reason this book was named ‘Pantheon’ is that it includes figures who have passed away. Additionally, reading this work allows us to gain a deeper understanding of our history and draw lessons from it. Therefore, the title holds great symbolic meaning,” he said.
The book provides detailed biographies, contributions, and achievements of historical figures, supported by factual information. It was published in 2,000 copies in both Kazakh and Russian languages. The book will be distributed as a gift and provided for free to university libraries.
Veteran Zeynolla Alshynbayev stated:
“Bringing together the life stories of distinguished Kazakh figures such as Arystan Bab, Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, Beket Ata, Al-Farabi, Abai, and Ybyrai Altynsarin in a single collection is a valuable and necessary project. It is crucial to pass on their legacies and teachings to future generations.”
According to the project leaders, “Kazakhstan National Pantheon” not only introduces the lives and work of historical figures but also aims to promote their legacy and wisdom.
