The Kazakh “Betashar” tradition has been included in UNESCO’s list in the capital of Paraguay, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.

Erlan Karin announced that the Kazakh tradition has been added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

On his Facebook page, State Counselor Erlan Karin wrote:

“Just now, at a meeting of UNESCO’s Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Asunción, the capital of Paraguay, one of Kazakhstan’s ancient traditions, Betashar, was included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.”
