Today the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews Pedro Vargas David. During the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum on Kazakhstan's cooperation with Euronews.
"The opening of the Euronews regional representative office gives the channel a great opportunity to comprehensively promote the economic, political, social and cultural development of Kazakhstan to the international audience," the minister noted.
The opening of the regional office of Euronews will give Kazakh journalists many opportunities. During the meeting, the issue of conducting trainings and master classes for improving the qualifications of domestic TV channel employees was discussed. This will help improve the professional qualifications of Kazakhstani media representatives.
"Discussions and signing of the memorandum took place in a short time, which shows that both sides are interested in fruitful cooperation and its importance. Comprehensive support of Kazakh journalists is important for us. We will not only bring European journalists to Kazakhstan for joint work, but we will also look for new faces and talented young people among the Kazakh mass media," said Pedro Vargas David.
