On the second day of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit to the Russian Federation, the ceremony of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden took place. The information was reported today, November 12, by the Akorda press service, according to “Adyrna.”
After a minute of silence, the orchestra performed the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Then, the Honor Guard solemnly marched past the official delegation of Kazakhstan.
“Kazakhstan made a great contribution to the Victory. More than 1.2 million Kazakh citizens went to the front, and half of them heroically died. Over five hundred of our compatriots were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union,” Akorda wrote.
