Our compatriot claimed the top spot in the under-70 kg weight category.
In the final match, Torekhan faced Japanese boxer Sewon Okazawa.
The fight was evenly matched, but in the third round Torekhan Sabyrkhan outmaneuvered his opponent and secured the victory.
Thus, 19-year-old Torekhan Sabyrkhan (under 70 kg) won his first-ever gold medal at the World Championship among adults.
