Karaganda Regional Academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after S. Seifullin hosted a creative evening dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous writer, playwright, winner of the International Literary Prize "Alash" Sophie Smataev, the correspondent of the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
The evening opened with a screening of the documentary film "Person" dedicated to the life and work of the classic of Kazakh literature. The spectator's numerous steps, difficulties and interesting steps, all of which he went through, were presented to the audience. The documentary, which was able to show the existence of a writer who, despite his artistic achievements, faced the hardships of life, brought tears to the eyes of many.
Sophie Smataev, who came to the stage with the warmth and applause of the people, took the first place, expressing his heartfelt longing and love for his homeland with beautiful poems. The solemn evening was conducted by the well-known art critic Erlan Toleutay. The evening was filled with melodic songs and melodies. Poems from the works of the writer were read and shared by colleagues.
