From February 28 to March 2, the Shymbulak Mountain Resort in Almaty will host the Freestyle Mogul and Freestyle Aerials World Cup. This was announced by the director of the Shymbulak Ski Resort, Rinat Abdirakhmanov, during a press conference dedicated to the Junior World Championship, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”

According to the information, preparations for these competitions have been ongoing since the summer.

“The Junior World Championship is being held in Kazakhstan for the first time, not only in the country but in Central Asia as well. We faced some challenges due to time constraints. We carried out meticulous summer work to prepare tracks for acrobatics and moguls. Our efforts have been highly praised by our colleagues. Not only were our specialists involved, but also foreign advisors, particularly from Andorra, who assisted us with organizational issues,” said Rinat Abdirakhmanov.

It should be noted that the Freestyle Mogul World Championship was first held in Almaty during the 2018-2019 season. Following this, Kazakhstan’s team leader Yulia Galysheva won a gold medal.
