In Manama, the capital of Bahrain, a Kazakhstani athlete has been crowned world champion, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.
Kazakhstani weightlifter Artem Antropov lifted a total of 400 kg to secure the title.
1.Artem Antropov - 400 kg (170+230)
2.Fares El-Bakh - 399 kg (174+225)
3.Marcos Ruiz Velasco - 395 kg (183+212)
A total of 15 Kazakhstani weightlifters represented the country at this global competition.
In the men’s team, participants included Akmolda Sayramkez (67 kg), Alexander Uvarov (81 kg), Alexey Churkin (81 kg), Denis Ulanov (89 kg), Denis Poluboyarinov (89 kg), Kirill Staroverkin (96 kg), Nurgisa Adiletuly (96 kg), Artem Antropov (102 kg), Andas Samarkanov (109 kg), and Meiram Sultan (109 kg).
So far, Nurgisa Adiletuly has also become a champion, and Alexey Churkin won a silver medal.
In the women’s team, Karina Goricheva (64 kg), Aray Nurlibekova (71 kg), Ayanat Zhumagali (76 kg), Aisha Omarova (76 kg), and Lyubov Kovalchuk (+87 kg) competed for medals.
