President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, reports the Adyrna national portal.

The President emphasized that the politician’s visit was important for further enhancing the multifaceted strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia in all areas. During the meeting, they extensively discussed current issues in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.

“The relations between our countries are developing dynamically. Recently, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin made a state visit to our country. This gave a new impetus to strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two nations. I believe that the future of our bilateral cooperation is very promising,” said the President.

Russian politician Valentina Matviyenko, who led a large parliamentary delegation to Kazakhstan, conveyed greetings from the Russian President. She also noted that Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the outcomes of his visit to Astana.

“The Russian President’s visit to Kazakhstan was very successful and productive. Most importantly, the pace of our cooperation, based on mutual benefit and respect, is increasing. Thanks to the joint efforts of the presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia, bilateral relations have reached an unprecedented level. Whether in trade, investment, major industrial projects, energy, or agriculture, we see a true model of strong strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries,” said Valentina Matviyenko.
