The initial results of the referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant have been announced, reports the national portal “Adyrna”
A total of 7,820,918 Kazakhstani citizens participated in the referendum on the construction of the nuclear power plant, which accounts for 63.87% of all eligible voters in Kazakhstan.
According to the Central Referendum Commission, as of 8:00 p.m., regional turnout data provided by the territorial commissions of regions, cities of national significance, and Astana are as follows:
• Abay Region: 69.57%
• Akmola Region: 71.63%
• Aktobe Region: 75.11%
• Almaty Region: 68.71%
• Atyrau Region: 63.28%
• West Kazakhstan Region: 67.03%
• Zhambyl Region: 61.28%
• Zhetysu Region: 68.01%
• Karaganda Region: 72.12%
• Kostanay Region: 73.45%
• Kyzylorda Region: 82.48%
• Mangystau Region: 54.03%
• Pavlodar Region: 65.09%
• North Kazakhstan Region: 66.31%
• Turkestan Region: 71.31%
• Ulytau Region: 70.69%
• East Kazakhstan Region: 73.79%
• Astana: 50.81%
• Almaty: 25.39%
• Shymkent: 70.57%
