From January 1, 2024, Russia will chair the bodies of the CIS. This was announced by the Kabar agency, reportef the national portal "Adyrna".
CIS executive secretary Sergey Lebedev announced the chairmanship at the extended session.
"The issue of chairmanship of the CIS was discussed. The heads of the delegation decided to preside over the Commonwealth in 2024. It will be co-chaired by the Russian Federation with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan," said Sergey Lebedev.
