The investigation against the former head of Pavlodar Regional Police Department Major General Nurlan Masimov has been completed. This was announced by the Corruption Agency, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"Former head of the Pavlodar Regional Police Department, Police Major General N. Masimov, his deputy D. Sirazidimov and businessman E. The pre-trial investigation against Yevkovic on suspicion of grave and serious corruption crimes has been completed. Massimov and Sirazidimov are accused of receiving bribes in the amount of 90.3 millions tenge for their patronage during state procurement and signing contracts with affiliated companies," the Agency said.
They are also suspected of stealing budget funds in the amount of 420 millions tenge intended for the purchase of military equipment.
On December 22, the regional prosecutor's office brought the defendants to court.
Let's remind, after the January incident, the head of the Police Department of Pavlodar region, Nurlan Masimov, was dismissed from his post. Later, he was wanted, and it was announced that a reward of 12 million tenge will be given to anyone who gives any information about him.
In July, Nurlan Masimov was arrested while trying to cross the border with Russia using a false document.
