Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on August 18. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel, reports an Adyrna correspondent.
According to the Ukrainian leader, the two presidents will discuss in detail the issue of ending the war. Zelensky noted that he first held a one-on-one conversation with Trump, after which European leaders joined the discussion. The talks lasted for more than an hour and a half.
U.S. President Trump informed Zelensky about his meeting in Alaska with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the main issues that had been discussed. Zelensky supported Trump’s proposal to hold a trilateral summit involving the leaders of Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia. He also emphasized the importance of having European partners participate in all stages of the negotiations.
