Bibigul Tolegenova participated in the referendum

Legendary Kazakh opera singer and State Prize laureate Bibigul Tolegenova participated in the referendum regarding the construction of a nuclear power plant. She voted from home, with representatives from polling station №559 bringing a ballot box to her residence. Tolegenova emphasized the significance of this event for the country, stating that participation in the referendum is a responsibility of every citizen toward Kazakhstan’s future.

She remarked, “Such decisions require careful consideration, as they affect not only the current situation in the country but also the future of the next generations. I take pride in being able to contribute my voice to this important issue.” According to her, Kazakhstan is still a young state that needs support, and citizens should engage in significant national events to help choose the best path for the country’s development.

Today, a nationwide referendum is taking place in Kazakhstan on the construction of a nuclear power plant. The mayor of Almaty, Yerbolat Dosaev, was among the first to vote at polling station №388 in School-Lyceum №48, accompanied by his wife. Residents of Almaty can cast their votes at local polling stations until 8:00 PM.
