Minister of Finance Madi Takiev now leads the Kazakhstan Volleyball Federation. Previously, this position was held by former NSC Chairman Nurtai Abykayev, reports “Adyrna.”
At the federation’s annual reporting conference held in Almaty on October 27, the organization’s new president was introduced. Madi Takiev expressed gratitude to the delegates for their trust and offered Nurtai Abykayev the position of honorary president of the federation, proposing that he lead the KWF board of trustees.
“Dear friends, colleagues, guests, and representatives of the volleyball community! The time has come to pass on the responsibility of leading the federation to new leaders. We have traveled a 30-year journey and proudly consider volleyball to be a leading Olympic sport in our country. By 2028, domestic volleyball will celebrate its centenary. I hope the Federation will achieve new victories and accomplishments in this time. Our achievements will remain forever in history, and it is the new leadership’s duty to build upon them,” said Nurtai Abykayev.
It should be noted that Madi Takiev will lead the federation from 2024 to 2028.
