The R. B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in collaboration with the Research Center for Islamic History, Art, and Culture (IRCICA) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is pleased to announce an international workshop titled: “Epigraphical Monuments in Arabic Script of the Golden Horde and Its Successors”. This workshop is a key component of the project “Continuity and Transformation in the Traditions and Culture of Post-Golden Horde Societies (Comparative Study of Epigraphic Monuments from the West of Kazakhstan, Volga-Ural, Dagestan, KhorezmRegions).”

Topics of Discussion

The workshop will cover, but is not limited to, the following topics:

1. Epigraphy of the Historical Regions of the Golden Horde Civilization: New Discoveries and Their Interpretation
2. Comparative Study of Epigraphic Monuments of Kazakhstan: Inscriptions in Arabic Script from Neighbouring States
3. Cultural Traditions and Transformation Processes: Sustainable Cultural Traditions and Transformation Processes in the Historical Regions of the Golden Horde Civilization

Article Formatting Requirements

1. Between the title of the article and its text, please include the last name, first name, patronymic of the author, their place of work, position, and academic degree in two languages: in the language in which the article is written and in English.

2. The title of the article and its abstract (about 200 words) should be given at the beginning in English.

3. Literature and sources should be numbered, and their list should be given at the end of the article. In the text of the article, references should be placed in square brackets [1:245].

The costs of participation in the conference are borne by the sending party. The financial expenses of specially invited participants whose reports were discussed will be covered by the organizing committee.
