"Kazakh's Kabdolov"

Today is the 96th anniversary of the birth of academician-writer Zeynolla Kabdolov.
Zeynolla Kabdolov was born on December 12, 1927 in the village of Gozdikara, Kyzylkoga district, Atyrau region, in a middle-class, simple family. He is a writer, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, People's Writer of Kazakhstan, Honored Scientist of the Kazakh and Kyrgyz Republics.

In 1945, he entered the Faculty of Philology of the present Kazakh State National University named after Al-Farabi, and graduated with honors in 1950. Later, he worked in this educational institution for more than fifty years, continuously conducting educational and scientific work.

The name of Zeynolla Kabdolov is mentioned along with the name of the writer Mukhtar Auezov. In 1945, he came to Almaty to follow his father's path in the oil industry, where he met Auezov. He leaves his classes at the Mining Institute and often comes to listen to Auezov's lectures at KazNU. Later, he permanently changed his profession and became an apprentice of Auezov.

In his novel-essay "My Auezov" specially written for the 100th anniversary of M. Auezov, celebrated at the world level by UNESCO, he raised the experience of creating a literary image of the great writer to a new level by introducing the phenomenon of teaching. Essays have become a valuable treasure in the gold fund of our literature.

He was awarded the "Friendship of Peoples", "Kurmet", "Parasat" orders, many medals and certificates of honor of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR. Laureate of the First Class Prize of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Sh. Valikhanov. His artistic works have been translated into several foreign languages.

A memorial plaque was installed on the wall of the house on Zheltoksan Street, 132, where he lived in Almaty, and one of the streets in the city was named after the writer.
