Kazakhstan’s number one and world №11 Alexander Bublik has won the championship at the tournament held in Hong Kong, Adyrna reports.
In the final, Bublik faced Italian tennis player and world №7 Lorenzo Musetti and secured a straight-sets victory, 7–6, 6–3.
Thus, Alexander not only claimed the tournament title but also achieved a historic milestone: in the updated ATP rankings, he will move into the world’s top 10. Previously, no Kazakhstani tennis player had reached such a result in men’s singles.
It is worth noting that during the Hong Kong tournament, Alexander Bublik defeated Dutch player Botic van de Zandschulp (№75), China’s Shang Juncheng (№406), and American Marcos Giron (№64).
