President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev laid a wreath at the “Motherland Monument” in the capital in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, reports the national portal “Adyrna” citing the press service of Akorda.
The President paid tribute to the memory of Kazakhstani soldiers with a moment of silence. During the solemn ceremony, the Presidential Orchestra performed the National Anthem, and the Honor Guard Company marched in formation.
It is worth noting that on May 7, a large-scale military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place in Astana. As the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the parade.
