According to the Xinjiang Regional Transport Administration, a one-way trip on the 1,150 km long cross-border route takes about 12 hours.
"In order to facilitate passenger transportation between China and Kazakhstan, the border region of China will launch four more international bus routes from Urimzhi. One of the routes will be the city of Semey," the agency added.
