By the decision of the commission on determining the regional emblem of Ulytau region, the coat of arms of the region was chosen. This was reported by the press service of the regional ex.com., "Adyrna" reporter reported.
According to the board, more than 80 works from 24 participants were submitted to the competition announced in May.
"The commission recognized the project presented by Almaty authors Bakytzhan Bukarbai and Dulat Usenbayev as the best.
Along with the words "Ulytau Oblast", our coat of arms depicts the sacred animal of the Kazakh steppe - the familiar kulan," the message says.
