Famous writer Mukhtar Magauin was bid farewell in the USA, as reported by the national portal “Adyrna.”
The farewell ceremony took place on January 11 at 9 a.m. local time in the state of Maryland.
The funeral was attended by his close relatives and family members who came from Almaty. Additionally, Kazakhstan’s ambassador to the USA, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, representatives of the Kazakh community, and students studying in the USA under the “Bolashak” program were present.
The writer was laid to rest at the Muslim cemetery Parklawn Memorial near Washington.
Earlier, it was reported that the writer’s funeral would be held at the Diyanet Center of America mosque in Maryland, and he would be buried in a cemetery in the same state.
As a reminder, Mukhtar Magauin passed away on January 10, at the age of 85, in the USA.
