Germany’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned North Korea’s chargé d’affaires in response to reports that North Korea had sent its soldiers to Russia to participate in the war in Ukraine, according to the “Adyrna” national portal.

Germany expressed concern over this situation, stating that if North Korea provides military support to Russia in its aggressive war against Ukraine, it would be considered a gross violation of international law.

“North Korea sending its troops to Russia to participate in military actions in Ukraine violates international norms and directly threatens stability in Europe and the world,” the Ministry stated.

Furthermore, Germany emphasized that such actions by North Korea also pose a threat to Germany’s own security.

Berlin’s response comes amid North Korea’s potential efforts to expand military cooperation with Russia. This situation has raised concerns within the international community, as any military support from Pyongyang could escalate the conflict in Ukraine and affect the balance of power on the global stage. Germany has called on North Korea to uphold international law and maintain regional stability, issuing a strong warning to Pyongyang.
