The European Union (EU) Council has imposed sanctions on seven individuals and seven entities from Iran due to Tehran’s provision of missiles and drones to Russia. This was outlined in the Council’s decision on October 14, as reported by the “Adyrna” national portal.

The sanctions list includes individuals involved in supplying technology to the Russian Federation in support of the war against Ukraine, as well as groups and organizations that pose threats to peace and security in the Middle East and the Red Sea region. Among the sanctioned entities are three Iranian airlines—Saha Airlines, Mahan Air, and Iran Air—and two procurement firms. Additionally, two companies producing fuel used in missile launches have been sanctioned.

The individuals on the list include Deputy Defense Minister Seyyed Hamzeh Qalandari, members of the Quds Force—special units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a primary command center of Iran’s armed forces, representatives of the Khatam al-Anbia base, members of the IRGC’s aerospace division, and directors of Iran’s Aviation Industries Organization and Aerospace Industries Organization.
