The chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered to organize an investigation into the statement of the former diplomat Meiram Kanapiya about the Russians, "Adyrna" portal reported.
"There is an appeal on social networks from the residents of St. Petersburg to the Russian Federation, specifically to St. Petersburg, to bring to justice the former Consul General of Kazakhstan, who made negative comments about the Russian Federation and its citizens in society. "The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of St. Petersburg ordered O.V. Bobkov to organize a procedural check based on the information provided and submit a report," the agency's press service reported.
Earlier, former Consul General of Kazakhstan Meiram Kanapia posted on social network:
"Russian citizens in Kazakhstan, you are not full-fledged citizens of our country. There is little time left for your "Russian freedoms". You will now have to answer for your actions and words. Unfortunately, you have too little time. You will not even have time to learn the Kazakh language to answer for your destiny. I will visit the places where I spent my youth in Saint-Petersburg and return to civilization. I will see the "burned out" regime...."
Meiram Kanapia worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1997 to 2009. He was an attaché in Azerbaijan (the term for a diplomatic representative . "Adyrna"), and a consul general in St. Petersburg, Russia.
According to the mass media, two years ago he was charged under Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan for inciting ethnic enmity.
