Those who threatened a businessman and demanded money were arrested in Zhetysu region. This was announced by Polisia.kz, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
Based on the information, the suspects were arrested in the city of Zharkent by operatives of the Department of Combating Organized Crime of the Zhetysu Oblast Police Department with the help of special forces soldiers. The suspects demanded 15 thousands Chinese yuan from a local businessman.
"The organized group consists of three people. One is a resident of Almaty city, the second is from Almaty region, and the third is a resident of Zhetysu region. The victim was caught giving them money. A pistol with 13 cartridges of 9 mm caliber was found and confiscated from one of them," said Sarkytbay Kusayinov, head of the Zhetysu region PD NSKKB.
According to Article 194 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, investigation procedures are carried out on this fact "Kidnapping by intimidation". The arrested persons were placed in a temporary detention facility.
