Before that, the company was managed by Eduard Ogai for many years since 2006. Ogai himself, while introducing the new head, said that Nuriev, despite being a young specialist, had enough experience and expressed confidence that he would show good results.
Introducing his successor in front of the labor team, Eduard Ogai noted that such a decision arose in connection with the creation of the new Ulytau region, which is the heart of the Kazakhmys company.
"Nurakhmet Kanatuli will work in Zhezkazgan and the central office will be located here. We will be in Zhezkazgan, and the company's decision-making center will also be located here. Although Nurakhmet Kanatuly is a young specialist, he has enough experience and he shows better results than us", said Eduard Ogai.

Kazakhmys is an enterprise engaged in mining industry and non-ferrous metallurgy. The main package of the corporation belongs to the Kazakh billionaire Vladimir Kim. And for the past 16 years, it has been managed by Eduard Ogai.
