President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the U.S. President in New York. A photo of the two leaders was released only a week later, reports “Adyrna” national portal.
The pictures of the two presidents were posted on the Telegram channel by Ruslan Zheldibay, Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan and Presidential Press Secretary.
It should be noted that the official statement from Akorda said the meeting focused on the key areas of strategic partnership between the two countries. The meeting took place on September 22, while the photos were published on September 29.
Special attention was paid to expanding cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and innovation spheres. Donald Trump expressed interest in strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and the United States, noting the high potential of bilateral relations.
In addition, during his visit to New York, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, where he put forward an initiative on UN reform.
