President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed the Prime Minister, the Head of the Presidential Administration, leaders of law enforcement agencies, and all regional governors to take urgent measures to ensure the security of key military and civilian facilities in light of the escalating situation surrounding Ukraine. This was announced by Berik Uali, the press secretary of the President of Kazakhstan, reports the national portal Adyrna.
“The chairs of the chambers of Parliament have been informed about the measures being taken. The President is keeping the situation in the country under his control.
Our country’s main strategic goal is to maintain stability, peace, and the rule of law and order.
Kazakhstan has repeatedly stated the need to resolve the conflict between the two Slavic nations through negotiations,” the statement said.
