The criminal case against former President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev will be investigated and new charges have been brought against him, the national portal Adyrna reports citing Tengrinews.kz.
Akayev's colleague, Bekbolot Talgarbekov, recently said that all charges against the former head of state had been dropped and that the criminal case against him had been dropped due to a lack of corpus delicti.
The press service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan refuted Talgarbekov's statement today, December 21.
