“Almaty has call centers to explain the rules of use of vehicles registered in other countries. According to the administrative police department, oral advice can be obtained by calling 8-747-733-10-20, the press service of the Almaty Police Department reports.

According to Kazinform, earlier the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan announced that there will be no benefits for the registration of vehicles with Russian license plates.

According to Deputy Chairman of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Serik Tusupov, any vehicle imported into the territory of Kazakhstan must be legally registered. And the demand is common to all citizens. That is, the law on vehicle registration does not provide benefits for certain categories of citizens. Therefore, car owners who are not registered in the country must obey the rules. Otherwise, the car will be confiscated and the owner will be fined.

It should be reminded that 88 thousand cars with Russian license plates in Kazakhstan were deregistered.
