President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation, according to a report by Akorda, as cited by the “Adyrna” national portal.
The two leaders noted the steady development of multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia and discussed the progress of the agreements previously reached at the highest level.
They also focused on cooperation in the energy sector.
The sides exchanged views on pressing issues on the international agenda and reviewed the schedule of upcoming meetings.
Recently, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an interview with Kommersant that he disagreed with President Tokayev on the issue of territorial integrity.
