Today, December 16, Akylbek Zhaparov, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, resigned from his position. This was reported by Kaktus.media and confirmed by Adyrna.
Zhaparov had been serving in this role since 2021, previously holding positions as the Minister of Finance and Economy, and a deputy in the Jogorku Kenesh representing the “Bir Bol” party. He also chaired a commission investigating the Kumtor case.
Preliminary reports suggest that Akylbek Zhaparov may be appointed as a presidential advisor  .
