Ahead of Independence Day, law enforcement officers in Kazakhstan are working in an enhanced mode, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.
Starting from December 14, the personnel of the internal affairs bodies have switched to a heightened duty regime.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that police have intensified their efforts to maintain public order, ensure the safety and peace of citizens, and secure public areas during the holiday period.
Police patrols have been increased at locations where festive events will take place, in crowded areas, and at facilities requiring state protection.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs is taking all necessary measures to ensure an appropriate level of public safety during the events,” the statement said.
