The Ministry of Education reminded that involving teachers in illegal fundraising within educational institutions under various pretexts is against the law, as reported by “Adyrna.” The Ministry recently held a meeting with over 2,000 heads of educational institutions and representatives from regional departments to prevent and address corruption risks.

“Participants were provided with comprehensive explanations about combating corruption, organizing control measures, and self-evaluation of activities. Special attention was given to preventing illegal fundraising under various pretexts in educational institutions, as well as to ensuring compliance with legal requirements related to teachers’ professional activities,” stated the Ministry of Education.

In Kazakhstan, it is illegal to assign teachers tasks unrelated to their professional duties, such as purchasing goods and services. Violations of these rules entail legal consequences.

“Each participant in the educational process should serve as a model of integrity and fairness and help prevent corruption. We emphasize the importance of strictly adhering to these principles and encourage teachers and heads of educational institutions to report any corruption violations,” said Ernur Dauyenov, the head of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education.

If cases of illegal fundraising or other forms of corruption are discovered, it is recommended to contact the regional departments or the Ministry’s Quality Assurance Committee at +7 (7172) 74-23-92.
