Akmaral Nauatbek, who competed in para judo in the 48 kg category (category J2), became the champion of the Paris Paralympics, reported the national portal "Adyrna".

In the final, she defeated the representative of France, Sandrina Martine, and won the gold medal.

"I sincerely congratulate Akmaral on becoming the champion of the Paralympic Games! Our countrywoman defeated all her opponents with a clear advantage before the finals and defeated the host in the finals. Akmaral, who won the title of the first women's world champion in para-judo in the history of Kazakhstan, has now become the first athlete in the history of the country to break the team in the Paralympics in this sport. She was unopposed and won a gold medal at the Para Asian Games last year. I think that this victory of our compatriot was an example for people who are involved in para sports in our country. I thank you for the victories that raised the national pride. I wish Akmaral great health, happiness and new achievements in sports!" said the minister.

It should be noted that Akmaral defeated Jahide Eke from Turkey in the semi-finals of the Paris tatami, and Kokila from India in the quarter-finals by ippon.
