June 28 is a professional holiday of mass media workers in the country, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
First, the Journalism Day of Independent Kazakhstan was celebrated on May 10. Because on this day in 1870, the first edition of the newspaper "Turkistan Province" was published.
In 2019, by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, June 28 was approved as the Day of Mass Media Workers.
