The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart received the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-yol, reports the national portal "Adyrna" referring to the press service of Akorda.
"A ceremony to welcome the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Seok-yol, who came to Kazakhstan on a state visit, was held in Akorda," said the message issued on Wednesday.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and Yoon Sok Yeol introduced the members of the official delegation to each other. The head of the honor guard company gave a congratulatory speech to the presidents, and the anthems of the two countries were sung.
After the ceremony, the heads of state entered the negotiation hall.
During the talks with the participation of the delegations of the two countries, the Head of the State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev assessed the first state visit of President Yoon Sok-yol to Kazakhstan as a historic event. He also said that today's talks will expand the scope of Kazakh-Korean cooperation and raise bilateral relations to a new level.
