Sulfuric acid was spilled in Zhetysu region. 46 residents were evacuated

At the Malaysary railway station, Zhetysu region, Kerbulak district, a spill of sulfuric acid was detected from an emergency valve with a diameter of 25 millimeters in a car tank, - reported the national portal "Adyrna" with reference to the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"Rescuers evacuated 46 villagers early from local dwellings, cooling of the tank car was carried out," the agency said.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Emergency Situations initially announced the evacuation of residents from 46 houses. However, the ministry later corrected the data and changed the text of the newsletter.

There are no casualties or damage. The life and health of residents are not in danger, the Ministry of Emergencies assured.

Let's remind that at the end of May, sulfuric acid was spilled on railway tracks in Akmola region. After the incident, six people were evacuated.
