In Kostanai, a group of private individuals was suspected of embezzling more than 500 millions tenge allocated as a subsidy under the national project for the development of the agro-industrial complex for 2021-2025. This was announced by the Financial Monitoring Agency, the "Adyrna" national portal reported.
According to information, the organized criminal group has been active since 2022.
The court ordered the arrest of the organizer and his two accomplices for 2 months. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. According to Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other information is not subject to public disclosure, the report says.
It should be noted that under the criminal scheme, farms falsely delivered non-existent products to the processing plant, paid subsidies for them and distributed them among the participants of the organized criminal group.
