24 people stranded on the road due to bad weather were rescued in Kostanay region, the national portal "Adyrna" reported with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The weather is still bad in Kostanay region. March was snowy. Clearing of the roads continues, strong wind hinders the work. Rescuers are working in an intensified mode these days, helping drivers stuck in snow, towing stalled cars, evacuating citizens to settlements.
On March 6, the Kostanay Oblast TJD units conducted 4 emergency rescue operations in the territory of Nauyrzym, Kamysty, Karasu districts. 24 people were rescued, including 8 children.
10 employees and 4 units of special equipment took part in eliminating the consequences of the accident.
A total of 4 temporary block-stations, TZD (4 people from private staff, 2 units of equipment), PD (5 people from private staff, 4 units of equipment) were organized in local areas, 4 heating stations for 160 seats were prepared. There is no car pooling.
